Assortment of smaller projects from today

153 Morgan

Park in front of The One - no park improvements yet

143 2nd St - a shame this is going to be storage. If there's nothing at ground level it will make a big hole in the streetscape

Downtown Pharmacy @ 18 Park - don't know if this is new or not but I noticed it recently

Exchange Place hotel

30 Montgomery - most windows replaced. Could be worse, but this location should have had something bigger

New pop-up shop on Columbus

141-143 Newark Ave

144 Newark Ave

Wayne & Columbus

330 Barrow St - not sure if the sign is for this site or a different one

Columbus & Jersey Ave - this building is actually pretty large

Both yellow parts are part of the same building

Across the street, also undergoing some renovation

Vito A Lofts

Miso Ramen, new restaurant

The store at the corner is also being converted to a restaurant

251 Newark Ave

239-249 Newark, the site next to it

Sussex Ave

193-213 Van Vorst

Powerhouse

Evertrust - looks like just utility work? Wish they would do something about their site - the grassy area could hold another tower

The remediation work was going on that triangular plot right next to the Powerhouse. I don't remember where, but I thought I read somewhere that the power substation is moving to here, thus freeing the area behind the powerhouse for development.

Part 1 of a massive update - this one covering much of Downtown on 10/31:

143 2nd St

Modera Lofts - Nexis, they are definitely power washing this building. They may be adding new mortar though, which gives the impression of new brick.

I had a feeling they were just washing and repairing it. Someone said on another forum that they were replacing the brick. But I never saw any evidence of that..

From the past two weeks
30 Montgomery

Hyatt Hotel

Modera Lofts

Evertrust - looks like new entrance. Too bad they didn't take this chance and reconfigure the entire ground floor of the building to make it more street-friendly

Warren and Steuben - recently proposed 18 story building

Large parking lot across the street - this sign recently appeared:

Some research indicates Romspen financed a loan on the lot so the owner
could increase zoning density from 600k to 850k allowable sqft and sell the
property which supposedly has multiple bids -
http://www.romspen.com/NewsDocs/octo...5013810031.pdf (might have been taken offline - search romspen jersey city and check the cached version)

144 Newark Ave

251 Newark Ave

Jersey Ave and Columbus

Bay St

220 3rd St

212 3rd St

222-224 1st St

Rendering from Candice Osbourne's page

143 Second St - city council recently approved it being a self-storage facility (as opposed to live-work space as required within the PAD), with first floor commercial space.

Gulls Cove 2 and 235 Grand
