The Marin Residences definitely has some sort of issue. It hasn't risen in close to a month. I wonder if they're having concrete strength issues or some other issue with their concrete supplier.

Wondering if we should break down this topic into different areas - Bergen-Lafayette, West Side, etc...or just have a downtown and others?

Anyway, went around some of the other areas of JC the past two weeks:

West Side

Avenir (large site on Broadway where Puccini's used to be)

Al-Tawheed (not much movement)

Wright St

McGinley Square
725 Bergen - building demolished

720 Bergen - nothing right now

Bergen Ave

642 Communipaw

Bergen-Lafayette

Never heard of this building on Grand by Arlington Park

if Trulia is to be believed it will look something like this:

This vacant building across the street, if developed, could make this corner interesting

Communipaw Ave - the land by Ideal Supply Co is in the process of being cleaned

408-420 Communipaw

170 Lafayette St (the building in Whitlock Cordage that is actually being worked on) - 46 units

381 Communipaw

Saint Lofts

312 Pacific Ave - foundation work going on

440 Whiton St - ground works

321 Communipaw

Woodward Terrace

Smaller buildings going up in the neighborhood

Downtown:

The park next to The One is being worked on

143 Second St - they started putting the signs on. Still doesn't look fully painted (and still ugly). Wondering if there will actually be retail spaces in the building

Marin Residences - no upward movement. People are on the deck every day though

239-249 Newark Ave

141 Newark Ave

143 Newark Ave - sadly, they are bringing this building down. Too bad, would have been nice to see it restored. Now I wonder if it's going to be combined with the neighboring lot to make a larger building

222 First St

I wonder if 143 Newark was actually compromised by the problems at 141 Newark. If so, that is likely why they would tear the building down.

That was the original reason given - the digging at 141 Newark Ave compromised the foundations of 143 Newark. I guess it was bad enough that it was more cost effective to tear it down.

It looks like they've finally put in a crane over at Marin residences. Maybe they'll start adding levels soon

It's been awhile since I posted - so one of these posts is from over a month ago.

This is the newer one - mostly from 10/29 and 10/30

Starting from Newark Ave - as reported, 380 Newark Ave has started digging and ripped out the parking lot

17-19 Division St

25 Division St

Mill Rocks

White Eagle Hall - possibly opening soon?

367 3rd St

334-336 2nd St - I'm not sure if they painted it or something - it wasn't black before. The two stores underneath are closed and papered up now as well

239-249 Newark Ave

And from 11/6

303 1st St - nothing for now after the building was demolished

Element Flats - open I think

141-143 Newark Ave - old building is gone, smaller building apparently still coming up on the lot next to it.

203 Brunswick Ave

320.5 7th St

313 7th St

320.5 6th St

95 Coles St

344 5th St

428 Monmouth St

329 4th St

323 4th St

415.5 Monmouth St

58 Coles St

239 3rd St

67 Wayne St

72 Wayne St

56 Wayne St

321 Warren St - I don't actually think this is starting, but this excavator and some dirt piles have appeared recently.
