Here's how it will look from almost that same angle (many times more massive than the building that's being torn down):

Lets start with an update for this project

Similar angle.

Finally, looks like work is starting on New Street.

The bastards took out my favorite tree though. Was at least 50ft tall.

Incidentally, The Quincy is about 50% leased. Has 395 apartments.

Thanks for all the updates! Awesome pics.

Glad to see they're getting rid of those dilapidated buildings on New Street. Those have been an eyesore for way too long.

I wonder if demo will start on the site for that tower near the courthouse this year.

Two Big Stories This Week

The two big stories for New Brunswick redevelopment this week were the new Rutgers/RWJ partnership and the announcement that construction has officially started on the new 22-story tower next to Rockoff Hall.

RWJ/Rutgers will be constructing new medical research/training buildings in New Brunswick together:
https://www.tapinto.net/towns/new-br...year-agreement

Landmark Properties is constructing the new 22-story student housing/apartment tower between Rockoff and the Heldrich hotel/condos:

Like the other hospital buildings, the new one + enormous new parking deck are pretty garbage

Im pretty worried about this. If that metal structure is the elevator, than the new parking garage will be massive and overshadow the entire street

Great update. Has construction started on the midrise building at the corner of Easton & Hamilton? That one's really going to help expand the downtown.

^So it looks like this one's going to be a steel structure, unlike the Cultural Center tower.

How's the midrise building on Easton Ave coming along?

Last I saw, a giant hole with some basic support structures. Nothing above street level aside from equipment.

It has an underground garage, while this one has an above ground garage.
