Why would they remove the balconies?
Other than that they also changed the details on the third floor which now looks boring, but it's not that bad compared to what it looked before.

Sphinxes in Sakuntala park; made in Charlottenburg (Berlin) in 1881 by company Ernst March & Söhne. Badly damaged during Croatian War for Independence.

They added a lot of detail to the facade in the alleyway too though. The balconies were probably strucutrally unstable due to neglect and a siginificant extra unnecessary expense

"Elektrownia" Masovian Centre for Contemporary Art

Ex-power-plant, build in 1901.
Closed in 1956, then converted into heating plant in 1963.
Closed again in 1998.
