Carnaxide



Carnaxide é uma freguesia portuguesa do concelho de Oeiras, com 6,63 km² de área e 21 353 habitantes (2001).

Densidade: 3 220,7 hab/km². Foi elevada a vila em 16 de Agosto de 1991. Tem por orago São Romão.

Carnaxide é a terceira freguesia mais antiga do país, sendo mencionada em documentação oficial pela primeira vez no século XIV, a sua origem remonta ao século XIII. Esta freguesia foi durante largos anos a maior da Europa - posto esse que pertence actualmente a Algueirão-Mem Martins - até ter sido dada a divisão (no ano de 1993) e separação das freguesias de Linda-a-Velha, Algés, Queijas e Cruz Quebrada - Dafundo.

A sua principal actividade económica tem residido na presença de um número elevado de grandes empresas como a EFACEC, Sumol ou Mota-Engil, e no pequeno comércio.

Mais recentemente, partilha com as vizinhas freguesias de Alfragide e Buraca (ambas no concelho da Amadora) uma das principais zonas comerciais de Lisboa, com vários centros comerciais como o Alegro (centro comercial), a IKEA (a primeira de Portugal), a Decathlon (também a primeira de Portugal), MAKRO, NORAUTO, Seaside Center, Media Markt, Moviflor, Continente, Jumbo, etc.

Também nela fica localizada a estação televisiva SIC.

vejo que passaste ao pé da minha antiga escola secundária.. olha tambem ai passou o Miguel Veloso, e a Barbara Guimaraes

esse emprendimento NeoPark é bakano, sebem que não tem envolvente... mesmo á frente ´é um cemitério
