Yuh....so apparently Canberra (actually the eighth largest city) with a rapidly growing population now standing at around 420,000, is smaller than not only the Sunshine Coast and Wollongong, but Hobart* too? Wow. And it started out so promisingly.

Also love how Adelaide doubles as the outback. I’m sure the people of Adelaide would appreciate the connotation.

*Which in turn is smaller than Geelong.

Aren't the ones in pending DA approval in white? If so it seems to be taking a long time for some of them, especially around Green Square?

White is proposed but includes things like planning proposals, stage one envelopes etc.

In Green Square the white ones indicate the council devised DCP for each area.

Also, Cul, I just noticed the DCP for 40 O'Dea Avenue and 50 O'Dea Avenue, Waterloo, are pale grey not the standard 'approved' grey; what does that indicate?

Just checked the DCP map and, barring miraculous reversal in council planning, nothing over 7 or 8 storeys: Sam Sing & O'Dea = 4-7; Gadigal & O'Dea = 4-8.

for anyone thats interested
ok, ive spent sometime on accumulating this diagram
its sydney v melbourne over 200m to roof.
ive snuck in 2 sydney and 2 melb towers that fall just under 200m (199m/198m)
Also ive added the parramatta towers over 200m that are uc -theres 4, parra square 230m, 180 george 211m, 8 philip 198m.
If towers are part of a twin tower or triple development ive left them joined. bit silly removing parts of the project. you can workout if there not over 200m.
ive still to detail about melb tower, melb central,
and couple of sydneys.
Melbourne has approx 29. all are either UC or completed
syd has about 22. uc ,completed and some that are about to start next year.
by looking at diagram the largest tower seems to be Parras Aspire which as it should be at 129,000sqm. also Quay quarter looks big
I removed lables as it became messy,i might do a number system and just add a list separately
Id like to eventually add brisbanes, perth and GCs too. gives it a great perspective .
