Looks like similar early utility work happening at Yale and Harrison site.

They're digging a ditch.

Or maybe a trench. I'm not sure I know the difference.

I asked the ditch vs. trench question at a meeting a few years ago and was told that a trench is always deeper than it is wide. Therefore, I'm with testdrive: trench.

A trench is something that is dug to serve a temporary purpose, such as in construction or war or geology or archaeology. A ditch is dug for long-term use, such as movement of water.

All final reviews are completed for the MUP. Should be issued tomorrow or next week.

Shoring reviews are also completed. Just need to pay the piper $35k and they have that permit as well.

This should be starting VERY soon.

Well, here they are:

MUP Permit: http://web6.seattle.gov/dpd/edms/Get...spx?id=4774964

Shoring/Excavation: http://web6.seattle.gov/dpd/edms/Get...spx?id=4775040

Guess we can add this to the lots to check for equipment now!

In case anyone is wondering what the timeline for construction is, here is the approved CMP...with the caveat that you'll need to add 4 months to all of the timelines.

http://web6.seattle.gov/dpd/edms/Get...spx?id=4534331

Should finish Summer 2021.

I'm...pretty sure I saw 3 excavators sitting behind the fence. Unsure if this means they're about to start...
