Midtown campus list may be down to 3

The names of the master developers who will advance to the short list under consideration for redevelopment of the city-owned midtown campus will be released next week, perhaps Monday. And it appears at least three of seven applicants will make the cut, The New Mexican has learned.

Proposals submitted by Central Park Santa Fe, a partnership between Dallas-based KDC Real Estate Development & Investments and Cienda Partners, and Raffles Education Corp. appear to have made the short list.

City Council agrees to sell old Railyard building for $175,000

The sale of the building would also lead to the creation of 61 full- and part-time jobs over the first five years as a result of the yet-to-be-identified business moving into the now-empty space.

New Mexico: Visit the landscapes that inspired artist Georgia O'Keeffe

As I drive northwards from Santa Fe, her canvas expands dome-like around me. Every cell is filled with colour, with those enormous skies, with plateaus striated in earthen rainbows and sagebrush feathering the plains.

New Santa Fe Indian School entryway to be at heart of campus

The overhauled entrance will be on Cerrillos Road, across from the Santa Fe International Hostel, at the same location as a former main entry that has been closed since 2008. The construction site was fenced off in early January. Since then, earthmovers have been at work, preparing for a new roadway, curbs and gutters, and moving of utilities, said Kimball Sekaquaptewa, the school’s chief technology director.

Bringing Taos art back home

The Couse Foundation recently announced plans to open a research center and museum facility in mid-2021 dedicated to the early art colony.

The Lunder Research Center will be housed in a 5,000-square-foot building that was formerly the Mission Gallery on the grounds of the Couse-Sharp Historic Site.
