I wonder if this bar is open yet in Burnett Lane? It's one of the new tenancies that were created back off the old JB Hi FI store. Hopefully they will get rid of the skips outside to allow for outdoor seating as well.

That is Death and Taxes, from the people behind Cobbler, Savile Row and Finney Isles (the bar named for the department store), and it opened last week.

Also newly opened in Burnett Lane, just a few doors up from here, is El Matador.

El Matador was open and full of patrons spilling onto the lane on Wednesday night.

Ah! So Deaths and Taxes has a hidden vibe (theme) hence the curtains on the windows to close it off from outside world.

It just looked closed for the look of things.

Some photos I took of the largely complete ANZAC Square on Sunday.

Is the loading zone on Adelaide Street disappearing? And if so, why didn't they add a protected cycle lane in this section?

I don't think the loading zone is being removed. There's no sign of it being removed at least.

Interesting, considering there is no access to the footpath I wonder how it would comply.

All of the lighting looks gorgeous in the evenings, I'd imagine it's even better at night.

They've done a great job of this- looks great. Just need the grass to establish now. A little respect from skateboarders and Lime scooter riders and will be perfect.
