MPX should be completing level 42 core and 38 slab this week. Appear to be about 2 months behind.

Separable Portion 2, CG tower due for completion 4 March and SP3 to level 17 LK tower is early April.

Speaking of celebrity chefs, rumour has it a local 2IC of a classy restaurant is coming in to start Larryís restaurants within the retail levels.

It's competing with Vogue, on the skyline, now.

Transport-related but im not going to go on about it, the photo above just spurred the thought.

Chaple REALLY needs to be cleared of on-street parking and made a car v tram clearway.

Its fine in that photo, but even when I was living there and used to drive it 3 years ago it was reaching critical mass most of the time with trams crawling due to cars/cars getting stuck behind trams stopping ever 500m.

With this, the commercial building next door and other smaller resi projects going up in Windsor etc the tram passenger level is just going to go up.

If the tram network outside the CBD is to remain a legitimate part of the PT network councils and govt need to bite the bullet.

Have new developments provide underground public parking for the shops like Vogue does for its shopping centre. Make it an incentive for more height etc.

You cant bulk up the tram network but still have them running just as slow as a car in peak hr.

Does anyone know when the retails will be open? It said that some shops would be opened end of last year.

My understanding that people already live in the building (lower tower)

I havenít been past for a while but my understanding is DJís and Virgin Active should have opened early April, not sure if they are yet. I know mid last year they were struggling to lease any spaces but not sure how they are currently going. I have heard there will be a high profile chef opening a series of restaurants on the mezz level. I believe itís the 2IC at Vue du Monde but canít remember a name.

Have had to drop asking net rents by 40% and make massive fitout contributions. Outgoings there are a killer. It’s a tenants market.

True, quite a few apartments (about 20 millions worth) remain unsold as well.
I suspect once the whole thing is up and running they'll be a little easier to sell.

Mr LK was/is obviously very determined to get this thing up.
