Totally agree, we need a Seattle/Calgary tower sat proudly between that cluster above mentioned.

Some pictures of loads of machines pointing to the sky. Probably making a building or something.

Does anyone have any idea as to when we can expect to see a crane/s on site?

One to keep an eye on.

Currently a little behind, but they will eventually catch up.

There are loads of cranes, they just forgot the vertical parts.

Site offices, two or three layers high going up, think there is a viewing platform on top as well.

Late night madness or genius, you decide...

Construct the base within the courtyard of the LRFS. Iconic tower and historic building saved.

Got it!! Construct a tower purely out of piled-high blueprints of failed Manchester projects of the past 15 yrs. We should easily reach the 200m mark purely on the strength of schemes that ironically failed to 'get off the ground'. lt would be both ironic and iconic at the same time.

Not a huge amount of change above ground in the last few weeks but piling continues in earnest...

At a guess, it should go as follows:
Complete piling
Construct ring beam
Dig down (2or3) levels for the underground parking
Put crane base in at base level
At that, I would imagine we're a while off a crane or cranes yet, should be impressive though.

And it will be even bigger than the other tower cranes. Like the one in Caiman's picture above.

Im not sure why couldnt have added a bit more height to this one to make it a nice round figure 100m. Agonizingly its just short of that!

Not great photos but they at least show that piling is still ongoing.
