There are also reports that Bamboo Airways will take some of the Not Taken Up (NTU) frames that were to be delivered to Hainan and other HNA group airlines.

https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-n...d-rapid-growth

So these white tails are being picked up, also the one for the UAE government which was delivered last month, it looks like they will also take a 2nd one.

This is both good and not so good news for Boeing. These frames (possibly up to 10) will find a new home quickly, but that could mean that future slots for the airlines that are now taking these frames will again have to be filled.

I wonder if they could have used ex-Jet A330-200s as well like the 737-800s.

Looks like a beauty, i am excited. Finally 787-9 for an indian airlines.
It would be interesting to see as to where vistara would operate this airline.
Whats the maximum range for this airline?

I am thinking probably take the jet airways slot and start off to london.

They haven't revealed any destinations yet, but you can expect North East Asia, Australia and Europe as the routes.

London is difficult, especially Heathrow, they cannot just take the Jet slots as these are worth quite a bit of money.

Any routes to North America are theoretically possible with a 787-9, but it will be at the outer ranges of the plane, it's unlikely that they will start with economically risky routes like that.

There is also the void left by Jet on MAN-BOM, this desperately needs filling.

Great points, but major money minting routes are to london and dubai especially from India.
Well somebody has to take those jet slots, lets see.
I also heard somewhere they wanted to start a route to japan, not sure if that is viable since i havent see that many tourists to japan.

is 787-10 within range from india to USA?

Brunei VIP 787 wears old Royal Brunei livery again but in a weird mustard colour, why did they drop the new government/sultan's 747-8 style livery? was so much better.
