You've just barely gotten out of primary school, judging from your photo.
Just to let you know, "overized" is what we adults call a "typo".
I do know how to spell "oversized". I have difficulty wading through
your deeply inarticulate blitherings, but when you post a funny
picture of yourself, it makes it all worthwhile!!!
(It's not easy discussing things with schoolchildren).

Last time I checked a skyline's merit was based on big buildings. The CN Tower is a big building. People occupy it. People eat in it. People buy stuff in it. It has the highest observation platform in the world. If you don't think it counts, thats fine. I already think you're an idiot anyway, so you can keep saying stupid things.
I'm with you, Algonquin. The boy is a simpleton.

WRONG.
Between 1974 and 1991 the tallest structure in human history was Warsaw Radio Mast in Gabin, Poland, it was 648,38 m / 2127 feet tall. It collapsed as a result of maintenance error, although some believe in a story about Russian sabotage.

No, actually I was correct, just not specific enough for some **** forumers around here. The CN Tower is the tallest free-standing structure in the world. That means no cables are required to hold it up (apparently alot of people consider that a virtue for buildings in general). There are actually a few existing radio towers that are taller. I'd consider that a moot point, since we're discussing skylines, but I suppose you just wanted to prove me WRONG. That's fine.

And the CN Tower was finished in 1976, so I guess it has only been 29 years and 11 months. WRONG again, I suppose.

from Wikipedia

In 1995, the CN Tower was declared one of the modern Seven Wonders of the World by the American Society of Civil Engineers. It also belongs to the World Federation of Great Towers. The following year, the Guinness Book of World Records officially changed the CN Tower's classification to "World's Tallest Building and Free-Standing Structure".

so Perth4life thinks it's an 'oversized concrete stick' that somehow doesn't contribute or 'count' when discussing skylines, yet the American Society of Civil Engineers considers it one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

oh boy, I can't decide who to run with here...

It was not a free-standing structure. It was held up by guy wires. The
CN Tower has been referred to as the World's Tallest Freestanding Structure.
I think you are just splitting hairs.
oops.. just read Alqonquin's entry!

NEW YORK!
NEW YORK!
NEW YORK!

Not only best in the north america, its the best in the world

Ranking in North America
1. Midtown Manhattan
2. Downtown Manhattan

No other city in the world has such early 20th century artistic skyscrapers as good as NYC. Downtown is fairly modern. With the freedom towers coming there, its gonna look better.

Chicago comes to mind for 20th century skyscrapers. Not as tall because of height restrictions, but just as equally impressive.

^I think Midtown is actually much more modern than Downtown; that could change, though, since there are so many projects on both sides.

Well Mr. Taller, Better;

That was actually from the Beggening of the year, So, I think I might take it down. But thanks for the warning. Incase I ever decide to go for it, I'll kiss ass to Toronto, just to get some votes.

Best North American skyline is obviously New York followed by Chicago.
