While comparing it is good to compare with a country with similar government structure. Let alone China, I won’t compare with Vietnam as the transparency levels are quite low compared to a democracy.

If you are realistic, compare the costs with metro systems. Allow for A much lower ridership density and estimate the losses. FYI, Indian metro systems are making losses and you don’t need to go to China to prove the profits

Moreover China is at least 5 times richer than India given the manipulated exchange rate. In reality it might be 7 times richer than India.
Transparency is bullshit word in democracy when 5cr illegal Bangladeshis live in India. ... almost all media in India is owned by Foreign mncs now. .. u talk about Transparency? Vedanta a mining company in India which had huge share in mining all over India is Never a Indian company. ..Only name is Indian. .. it belongs to church of England. .... This is how Transparency works in India. ......
Delhi metro is not running on losses. ...
Chennai metro is running on losses. ..why? Rollingstock from Foreign mncs. Costly. .. built on expensive loans. .. main reason - no ridership as it runs parallel to mmts for a long strech. ..very expensive ticket prices. ..
Forget Transparency. Metro tickets price i n Chennai is expensive than shanghai. ...
When u build a thing mostly indegenous, without debt That thing will work wonders. . U don't need proof if u travel by it u could see urself. .. it is so crowded that they are building more lines. .present lines are running at full capacity. .. ticket price is in reach of 99% people. .. we need to compare with China to realize What is wrong with us and how we are ****ed by Foreign mncs. ... a train18 is a clear example when Foreign mncs lost to medha company they find a way to block it. ..
These same Foreign mncs made sure that ICF cannot participate in any Metro tenders so that they can make profits and we buy Rollingstock at higher cost. ... even enemy countries use this and sell Rollingstock in India. ..

Leaving aside few unrelated issues like migration, there is hardly any fact in that post. All I would say is that you need to educate yourself better.

On the transparency issue, India may not be ideal but we are doing reasonably well compared to a China or Vietnam, but I could not even discuss this when you don’t even understand profits and losses.
