I agree that much work needs to be done in Moanda as leisure destination...this is only a start. Most important Moanda is the center of Dr Congo oil industry as well as an important military base. Any air link will be much appreciated by business and military personnels

I just came across this new Congolese airline. Does anyone have any idea what it is about, and perhaps who is behind it? The news-portal CH-Aviation titled yesterday that the airline has added their first aircraft, but the website does not look very well organised; furthermore their planes are extremely old (DC-8, B737-200) and as far as i know there is a ban on importing planes older than 15 years to the DRC -
One of the reasons for CAA's recent economic downfall.

This is a bogus airline. There is no DRC-registered airline operating under the name “Fayaka”. It is an Internet joke.

Interesting that even ch-aviation (one of the best aviation-news portals) fell for the joke. Also, if you check the Facebook Page "Congo-Zaire Aviation" you'll find a Boeing 727 painted in their livery.

Yeah, thanks Pius. Though this list is missing some of the N'Dolo based carriers, e.g. KinAvia. They also recently merged with Air Tropiques.

I'm also not sure if Air Kasai is still operating. They even aquired a new ATR which was flown to Kin but it never flew commercially and was returned in the same month.
