Good news. Is this hotel anywhere near the lakefront redevelopment project (promenade)?

No it's not on the lake front.

From the lake you land on the yacht club. It is behind the yacht club.

Lovely. Hope they install ornamental street lights on those street light plinths next to the road. They shound also install proper traffic lights/crosswalk lights in the CBD.

Im tired of those concrete mounted Kenya Power (Ruto) lights.

Interesting to know. How big is the building they are putting up? Ksh. 4 bn is a lot of money for a single building. Look at Britam tower for a good example. So we are expecting that kind of building in Kisumu, that’s true progress in our times.

LVBC should use that 4 billion to build a fish port and fish processing factory. That would have a bigger impact on the locals there as they would employ 100's, save fishermen from brokers/middlemen and therefore they will earn more money from their catch. That should be their first priority. Alternatively they can revive KICOMI by rehabilitation of irrigation schemes, reintroduce large scale cotton cultivation in the region.

A splendid office and flashy vehicles are apparently very important to those leaders.
