Why on earth should Kisumu be downgraded? If anything, a lot of the larger towns like Eldy, Nakuru etc, should pursue to be incorporated into cities..

Nakuru county has more people than kisumu county, Nakuru town has fewer people than kisumu town (2009 census). How do you downgrade a city? Kwani lazima tuwe na a certain number of cities? Your intent is not innocent, it suggests some ulterior undertone. Acha hizo mkuu.

A country like Kenya could easily have 20 cities, as long as all requirements are met.

nop nakuru just stalled from around 2012,after a crazy 2008-2011 growth..kisumu is far ahead of nakuru now,and with the improved kisumu roads, the international airport, sgr is headed to kisumu, the port as part of sgr, special economic zone..its kisumu`s time.....

Agreed, they probably meant 221,000 square feet (~20000 square meters) and the news outlet reported in square meters. Same misreporting that I see in currency conversions all the time .

221000Sqm just puts it at the top 5 biggest malls in africa, but i doubt its that big, given the location where it is and an acre piece of land i dont think thats possible, even building it upwards means many floors to the sky.
Unless its 22100 sqm
