Question is, do they really need to use Kshs.400 Million to build offices. Why not just renovate what the County council used in Kerugoya and save the money.

Work is how we keep the economy growing, moving and getting jobs to people. This is how to increase purchasing power of citizens and improve production. Money in circulation is better than that saved!

Not saving but redirecting in more productive/useful areas eg roads. But anyway this is a one-off expenditure.

STOCK IMAGERY

KIRINYAGA, KENYA: As a means to boost its tourism sector, the Kirinyaga County Government is headed towards installing Cable Cars on Mt Kenya. This will mean that tourists who only know Switzerland as the only famous destination for this kind of a facility can now have an alternative to sample from. The project has been packaged as an investment opportunity while the county is seeking for investors to partner with. Governor Joseph Ndathi says potential investors have already expressed their interests towards the venture. "We have taken one such interested investor to this natural site alongside his consultant who will carry out the feasibility studies and revert back to us," Ndathi said. He said should the venture materialise, then the county would be headed in the same league with Switzerland in terms of car cable tourism. ''Tourist will be able to view wild animals aboard these cars while above them and this will certainly give us an upper hand in the sector as compared to other countries which apart from snow on their mountains have no wild game," he said. Ndathi said the rich Mt Kenya forest endowed with flora and fauna will provide such a wide range of natural varieties to the tourists.

These aerial shots of Mwea were taken by my friend Mwangi Kirubi (Mwarv) of Click. It would help if you credited his work or of others, or simply acknowledge the source. It is the practice here.

Kaguangi u are supposed to credit the images, thats what the rules on SSC say. Otherwise mods are free to delete those images.

If I was a photographer I'd be angry if my work was being posted without me getting credited.

Dont just post images u havent taken without giving credits.

Sio poa kusema ukweli.
