Because Tuas as in itself a major employments Centre and back tracking from Jurong East would require a lot of time + compete with locals who would be headed there as well?

By 2026, Malaysia will have its very own High-Speed Rail (HSR) between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

Along the 350km route, there will be seven stations, of which Seremban is one of the transit stations. This is no mean feat as Seremban is all set to become one of the world’s elite cities that has a HSR station. Seremban is set to be catapulted to join the ranks of HSR cities such as Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing and Paris, which are pioneers of the HSR.

This is indeed a great achievement for a thriving city of half a million people because by having a HSR station at your doorstep, the state is well positioned to soar even higher.

It is a well-known fact that whenever a HSR train stops at a certain town, the economic status of the city as well as the standard of living of the people around it will grow many fold.
Speaking of seremban, I seen some land developer already road advert that their land will get HSR connectivity. I will try to get the picture once I back to Seremban.
With property booming over Seremban ( Sendayan/Seremban2(IJM Land)/Labu ( Bandar Ainsdale Sime Darby ) connectivity with HSR probably with attract more to settle there.
Seremban 2 city rise pretty because of build of KLIA at first, later sprawl bigger since Seremban 2 look good and well organize compare to other land development on Seremban.

"Work On Progress" literal china
I wonder how's the work so far for the project...
I think the Korean HST "booth" got some competition...or maybe not... (personally, I prefer the Japanese Shinkansen better)

If respective company also do financial aids from some nations. Probably they will try hard to get Malaysia HSR Project.
For me, Japanese, Korea and China do have possibility financial aids if they win the HSR Project.
China most probable, look how they willing to loan for ECRL project

Well, I can see swarm of Japanese delegates walking around but I'm not sure why they do so @[email protected] For certain from what I remember Rahman Dahlan did say that these Japanese really like to flock around menteri and talk about their HSR Technology.
All these picture from SPAD LPT Symposium.

China firms will bag this project. No need to guess anymore. Apart from Najib sold his soul (Malaysia) to the Devil (China), to be fair they are pretty aggressive, technologically and financially capable too.

Really? But the Chinese already get ecrl served on their table already. Ultimately Singapore has a 50% say on this so we never know for sure.

It's interesting that CRRC is pitching the CR400B which is essentially an off-brand Siemens Velaro for the Kuala Lumpur - Singapore HSR line instead of the CR400A, which will be operating the Bangkok-Korat and Jakarta-Bandung HSR lines.

Any reference to this? Will Singapore also fund 50% of the cost?

Not true.

The new trainsets CRH380A will be used as the rolling stock on the Jakarta-Bandung high speed rail link.
