The Stadio San Paolo in Naples can maybe be transformed, it has a capacity of 78.000 seats.

i think it should be built on its own man-made island that isnt far from the mainland, maybe in the english channel, as then it would be easy to get people to the stadium via bridges, ferries, channel tunnel etc.

The only way it would be possible is if the entire thing was glass and the stars would be painted on, otherwise it would be nearly impossible to hold that middle star in place (unless they build ridiculously strong cantilevers).

I think it would be possible. with enough interconnecting points and the arching effect they would cause. It could work.

Probably about that, massive at any rate. You also have the sightline issues, with the circular bowl, with either the corners not being seen by people seated behind them, or a ridiculously shallow first tier along the sidelines and ends like at the Estadio Centenario in Montevideo. If the roof were fabric and the beams/struts/trusses were a little bigger it would be doable. Your probably talking about atleast 3 billion euros to build the thing though.

Whilst on the topic of fantasy stadiums, - The Harry Potter Quidditch World Cup stadium would be an excellent stadium to try and build.

My Urban Watercolours: Free with GDI membership!

(PM me anytime! )
These are all my original watercolours, the majority of which are around my hometown, Toronto. However, I currently live in Yaletown, Vancouver so kudos to Taller, Better for giving me such cool compositions to work with!
