Any news on the development of Airport?
1) the remaining air-side developments - cargo hub modernisation, slum removal, T2 completion, subway T1 to T2 etc
2) Commercial hub development - skycity - hotels, offices etc?

The T2 forecourts are around 300 metres away from the Metro station. I wonder what people-mover plans are in store? Travellators??
Also, the Bombay High Court (thankfully) threw out the petitions against the Aarey Car-shed today...

How are they going to fill the 788 during late night hours. I know a section of passengers may be continuing to STN, but isn't it utterly stupid to put a widebody on the domestic leg as the yields during late night will be trash that they cant even cover the fuel cost.

To me, it's just the best they can do as far as aircraft utilisation is concerned. I suspect the plane will do BOM-NBO-BOM-ATQ-STN-ATQ-BOM. I'm not sure if better timings could be had, given this rotation.

Also, I recall that 9W used to operate a red-eye ATQ-BOM, primarily to tap into Amritsaris transiting abroad on either AI or the bouquet of foreign carriers. AI's timings aren't the same as 9W's, but AI might be able to fill some seats on what is essentially a ferry flight...

Then one also has to consider that this opens up a new cargo route, BOM-STN. Ive heard 9W used to do well on BOM-LHR cargo.
