Yes they counted it from Retail G until someone proves it otherwise.

You're not being rational and mature with your statement there. There's many ways to present a fact or to correct someone but it seems that you're not equipped with the EQ to do so. Seems like you're all out for the kill or something hence my mention of prize.

If you're unsure then say it. But it seems like you're damn sure earlier. How sure are you that 492m isn't from sea level? It seems to be the case now. We have some discussion on this matter earlier with diagrams and such.

Why are you bringing this up again?

No one are prohibit of challenging anyone here...... And what is your obsession on challenging others? Why challenge? Got prize?

He isn't special. But I am merely stating the obvious and the fact that you're being rude and being offended doesn't mean that I am defending him.

This is something that you should do some self-reflection on......

No one is sure that the 492m is from any point as most sources did not specify it. But for you to be damn sure about it not being from sea-level is plainly wrong.

Again no one said it is for sure. Please stop assuming people saying so.

You implied we all did. .....and that you're being the correct one.

Visual guide had never been accurate.

No one here say that 492m is an undisputed measurement from sea-level. We are just annoyed with the fact that you seemed so certain that it isn't.

Come on.. Look here my original statement to him. Did I being so rude?
Why you alone being offended?? Gosh.

The point is.. yes..im so certain that 492M is not from the sea level. We?? or you alone who have issue with my certainty?
To prove me..just counter me back with some sort of fact or data. easy..

Have a nice day!

I didnt expect an ordinary debate on the height of the tower becomes a heated argument with a lot of harsh words. Debate is very welcomed but please be polite. It seems that this issue needs a closure based on fact from a governing body on worldwide tall buildings which is CTBUH. Will attempt to contact them for clarification. No more assumption, no more based on just visual look, but fact. Will revert once i get their response hopefully.

This is the update news and drawing of the Mall below the Exchange 106 Tower.
The mall itself is 4 Levels, not three level as shown in the earlier built model.

https://www.lendlease.com/sg

And stated in the news. (On 31 August -2018)

Quote:
The 17-acre mixed development comprises a four-level mall, a 400-room hotel and about 2,400 residential units.

The retail mall will be completed first and will have a 10-acre public park as its roof-top.

One of 18 regeneration projects around the world that Lendlease is involved in, Lombardo said the group is excited with its work here.

However, the whole project to the mall can be access from the street level which is shown in the building plan - +25.2m

Therefore, CTBUH should adjust the height of the whole project to 492m - 25.2m = 467m

And this will reflect the actual building height, which is taller than Petronas Twins, and not on par with Petronas Twins.

And if we want to follow the building plan earlier, the Retail plot is sitting on the EL +15.22

Then it will also make the tower's height = 492m - 15.22m = 476m

You should see the more livelier debate with folks (mostly Americans) prior to 2004 on PTT versus Sears Tower.....

There's even an emoji:

This is a plot reference "E15.22" not an altitude/level. No "EL" but "L" only and no "+".
In a similar way the plot with "signature tower" is referenced C7.7 as visible on the right, and this is obviously not an altitude

Height of 451.9m was updated by the CTBUH after conversation with a representative from China State Construction Engineering Corp. Nothing is official until they receive more detailed drawings. The mystery goes on.

See? I told you guys already that the tower will neither 446m nor 492m. 452m is quite correct because if you triangulate both Ex106 and PTT from U-Thant Road, both look almost equally tall. I'm glad that CTBUH settled this.

TE106, the Klang Quartz ridge (longest such ridge in the world), the jungle and Genting Highlands in one picture. Very cool KL.

Is the crown going to be accessible as a usable space, like a massive glass atrium to gaze to, or is it purely structural?
