If I remember what I read a few months ago when these renders came out, the height limit is 300 meters for this lot, so it probably won't be a supertall, although it will likely be very near 300.

Very exciting projects for Busan. Do you know if they broke ground on any of D2 or D3? Sources I've come across say that it's supposed to start before June.

looks pretty cool. Is the entirety of the skybridge a hotel? That's an interesting concept.

I understand that construction hasn't begun yet (at least not up to January, according to Kakao Maps), and I haven't seen any recent article since the announcement last year, so I'm pretty sure the construction hasn't started yet.

From the description of the building, yes, the skybridge is a hotel connecting two office buildings with Korea Investment & Secrurities company as the major tenant.

I'm not sure I like putting the mass of the bridge at the top of the tower, but it is a cool design, no doubt.

If Busan wants to finish this project and every other phase 1 projects before the end of 2022, they need to start digging within the next few months...

New design from CS Property.

At this point I don't know which design (if any) is the final one.

^ I'm pretty sure the Marriott rendering is the final version as it was the one submitted by Korea Investment & Secrurities - the successful bidder.

Both D2 and D3 were under investigation for a possible fraud that may have occurred during the bidding process so there is a chance that both projects may be scrapped... https://www.ytn.co.kr/_ln/0115_201908050037246920

Anyways, here's a view from the front:

- Hyosung Heavy Industries signed the contract

- Height decreased from 72 --> 60 floors

- Undergoing environmental impact assessment

- No hotel, to be a mixed complex of cultural venues, office, retail, and residence.
