Let the wild speculation begin! But yeah the weird wee flat/box thing just after the lane looks about right

I though this was to be a hotel though? And it probably can't be too tall due to the churches next and across from it

You like the design? The trees are ok but the rest looks a bit dull.

Don't think so Charlie. It's Hawkins Brown that are bringing forward designs for that site.

Re the Stallan Brand proposal, I don’t know for sure what it is but if I was a to have a bet I would say it is the site of the current Student Loans building.

I’m pretty sure it’s Sheppard Roberson who are the Architectures for the replacement building

It's a bit of a shitter of a building inside tbh. But, yeah, how old is it? Just 15 years?

An opportunity to extend the shops/active fronts from the east side of the street further along if it did happen.

Barclays will moving staff to their new offices soon and while they don't occupy the whole thing, they do have the majority of the floors

Seems pretty inconceivable that any developer would demolish 200k sq/f of grade a space to replace it with what looks like pretty much the same again

Looks like a major renovation.

Surely the topography is all wrong for 275 St Vincent Street?

I think DJ might be right here - you too Boards - that this is 120 Bothwell street and it's a renovation. The central recess spanning 4 floors is identically placed on both, and the main atrium looks about right too.

Strange though, there are plenty of other buildings in more need of renovating than this one; it's fairly harmless in the grand scheme of things?

It’s not 120 Bothwell it’s the Student loans building next block down.

Why are they knocking that down? It's a perfectly serviceable building, and I haven't heard from anyone who works there that a move of office was on the cards. Where do the 1000+ staff get relocated to?
