Nice pictures. Some are blurry but I'm guessing if its a digi camera then the camera keeps the shutter open longer when there are lots of earthy colours. Mine certainly does. I love the last picture - I think you should enter it into the urban photo contest

London really is a beautiful metropolis despite all these ignorant people who think she's not (most likely Brits themselves), she's a beauty at night, she shines like a star. I wouldn't exchange Barcelona, Mallorca or Magaluf (tacky) for a night out in London, you'd have to be nuts and I believe some brits take her for granted. Only NYC shares such a cosmopolitan status with London.

Am I the only one who thinks Trafalgar Sq is poorly lit at night? I like what they have done with the fountains, but the main area is dark!! They could have individual spot lights in the floor lighting the lions, and lights at the base of the column lighting the brone freizes and column itself.

i think the overall lighting of London Monuments is very poor and unimaginative. Where monuments are lit, its tends to be the boring Orange floodlights.

I think the new Buckingham Palace lighting is very stylish and wish more buildings were lit like it. St Pauls also looks good at night, but perhaps they could vary the colour and lighting styles somtimes to give some variety (like they do with the Empire State Building)

And Trafalgar Square and the South Bank are terribly lit at night...a back alley in Croydon is probably better lit than those areas. I actually struggle to see where i am going and have walked into quite a few people, benches....and unknown things because its so dark

I've not seen pictures of Buck Palace's new lighting scheme, any one got any pictures?

And does any one know if they will light up the monuments like they have done for the last 2 Christmas?

Does a great job of picking out the details in a way that even the sunlight washes out.
