I guess because overall it is cheaper and such monotonous colors in the long term will cost less because there is less need to repaint after it gets dirty...
Overall, this trend is disappointing.

l see more of pastel yellow, cream, than beige colors also some white, pastel red and other pastel colors. It's easy to talk when you don't have to renovate hundreds of buildings in a short time.

Ya, I thought most of the "before" images looked more interesting with the buildings having more characters especially in the details.

Yeah, the trend for monochrome paintjobs is there since a decade or so.
It's a pity, as many of these buildings were finished with varying colours, highlighting parts of the structure and making them more lively. But still we can be happy they are constantly renovated and paintjobs are done more regularily to correct that, in 10-15 years.
