![]() Yep. And every one (excluding first three frames N101FE, N102FE and N103FE) 767-300F for Fedex got new glass cockpit too. There were photos on http://www.airplane-pictures.net/ but they removed them. Miniatures are on google graphic after searching for N104FE.

Icelandair B757-300 (WL) (reg. TF-FIX)
![]() The thing I have with this particular aircraft is, is it even possible to revive developing that aircraft type? I know it has a longer fuselage than the B757-200 (the longest narrow-bodied aircraft), but does it make any sense to build more B757-300s (if ever)?

If the margins are not there, then why keep the aircraft in production.

B787-3 was targeted for those high-density routes, and all orders were finally converted to B787-8, so B787-3 was cancelled in 2010. There is not enough interest in that kind of aircraft.

@doc7austin That's pretty insane to cross the Atlantic on that aircraft... I think the next best aircraft would either be a B767-300ER or A330 (either with Air Berlin or Delta) since doing a B752 on such a long distance can be pretty daunting. I recall, though, that Icelandair does its North American ops on board the B752 as well... I wonder though if it has a good selection of IFE on board?

I had no issues crossing the Atlantic to Newark on a 757, although it was from Amsterdam and therefor a couple of hours shorter. But I got to say that on both ways the planes were pretty empty, that's always a good thing flying.
I don't know why people are always saying that flying long distances on a narrow body is more problematic then on a wide-body. For me less people in an airplane is better. Everything from check in, getting your meal, to waiting for your baggage goes faster and smoother. In an A380 it can be just to busy, it might be more quite when it comes to engine and wind noise but the larger number of people just creates more internal background noise. The 787-3 was as 787-8 sized plane with smaller wings to fit into the 767 sized gates on smaller Japanese airports. It was cancelled because the pro's of the smaller wings didn't compensate the penalties in fuel economy. The 787-8 was still far more efficient, even on very short hops.
