The underpass between Wynyard and Hunter Connection has re-opened. A tad drab - hopefully when it's full of shops it'll feel more lively.

For comparison, has the ever been a full set of rented tenancies at Railway Square in the Henry Deane Plaza-"Goods Line" tunnels?

This is the problem with Government Planning prescribed "mixed use" development. Nine times out of ten it results in shops that are always "for lease"

They are mostly occupied.

In any case, shops with trading hours during the day could well be allowed, not mandated, anywhere. Nice little shops increase the amenity of residential areas.

There's still never-leased empty shops in Newtown Station and that was rebuilt years ago. I feel it's an issue with the bureaucracy rather than demand.

The Wynyard Place development is privately run.

Is that a power coupler or a mechanical coupler front center?

What's with all the gloss black paint/stickers around the windows that are supposed to make them appear larger? We saw the same thing on the b sets and with a bit of dust and weathering, they look rather tacky.

0:18 "when you've got these tragic stories where people have actually lost...a lot of money"

Tragic? Legitimately thought he was going to say "lost their life." (Causing the delays)

The Fifteenth Avenue Transit Corridor also lines a up with a Bankstown Metro extension to Liverpool.

This would be my preferred mode too but they are going for "trackless trams" aka electric brt instead. It's a pity because a metro extension would have made the aerotropolis and WSA jobs much more convenient to people between Bankstown and Liverpool.

You don't need 3 rail lines heading east from the airport though.

At least not till 2101 when the lease to SYD expires and the Federal Govt sells the land to pay for the National Neural Network and Sydney Spaceport at Badgerys Creek become the sole airport.

The proposed design of the new eastern entrance to Central Station and Central Walk has been revealed as Central undergoes its biggest upgrade in decades.
