JCooza has just posted an interesting shot, from Beulah's IG, of Paragon's glass and grid, which they describe as an "exo skeleton".

Preliminary work has begun on Lend Lease's tallest tower in the massive Melbourne Quarter precinct: the 160m office, Melbourne Quarter Tower. It will plug the last gap in the Collins Street overpass into Docklands, and permit the completion of the Skypark.

Melbourne's first Meriton, an all suites 188m tower, is a step closer, with Qantas 743 reporting that Hickory has the build contract.

melbournee12's nice shots of Melbourne Quarter East, with an office component, Two MQ, in the background.

melbournee12's beautiful shots, despite the smoke from the fires, featuring the Olderfleet and 80 Collins Street South. Impressive density from that angle, including West Side Place just appearing to the left of the AMP tower.

Winning design for 1 Spring Street North Tower by Ingenhoven and Architectus, behind the heritage-listed Harry Seidler tower.

area, inspired by an amphitheater, form the real heart

The Australian climate requires a lightly insulated
facade with a strong sun protection. Our proposal
offers a high degree of transparency with an
innovative shading solution. The facades are also
catalytically coated, converting toxic ozone into
oxygen. The roof is planned as a sloping roof with
magnificent green sky terraces and integrated
photovoltaic. The extensive greenery also offers
employees and visitors a relaxing retreat area and
helps to counteract the urban heat island effect.

Must be some American architects in there as they used the US spelling of neighbour.

25 Power St also appears to 'live'.

Thought I'd post this spectacular pic of MELB's largest suburban tower (Capitol) - courtesy of rodohert.

melbournee12 posts that Holder East's twin tower project, opposite the western end of the Crown complex, is out to tender. It comprises a 160m resi tower (Aurum on Clarendon) by Fender Katsalidis, at 56-62 Clarendon, and a shorter Hyatt Place tower, at 64-68 Clarendon, on the corner of Haig Street. The curvy Crown Metropol hotel is directly opposite, whilst the Peppers hotel group, originally interested in the Hyatt Place site, moved on to the Shadow Play tower, one block south at Clarendon and City Road.
