City of Perth Development Applications

As I said before, Perth is surely bouncing back big time and better than before. There are quite a few big developments taking place and while they may go unnoticed - intentionally or just out of ignorance - by the eastern states, it is really important here in WA and for Perth itself. Here is the list of recently approved October 2019 building applications as well as approved development applications.

According to the West Australian - https://thewest.com.au/news/perth/bi...-ng-b88451448z

"Cranes are set to dot the city skyline again, with about 60 buildings under construction or likely to begin soon after gaining development approval from the council.

City of Perth 3-D modelling shows the dramatic impact of the new skyscrapers, with about 30 buildings earmarked for central Perth or Northbridge, about 20 in East Perth and almost 10 in West Perth.

The developments include plans for Perth’s tallest building — a $100 million, 62-storey hotel and apartment tower on the St Andrews Church site that will stand 249.5m high — 50cm higher than Rio Tinto’s Central Park.

A $200 million, 52-floor apartment and hotel complex on Milligan Street will be 179m high and become the fifth-highest peak in the central business district.

The range of coming developments shows Perth is increasingly becoming a place where people live and recreate, with most of the new buildings to be apartment towers or hotels."

It's good to see these developments in Perth but I just wonder as to why Adelaide hasn't seen a pick up to the same extent.

It has, Adelaide currently has new first, second and fourth tallest buildings under construction. A new third tallest tower was also recently completed (although that will drop to sixth tallest when the others complete).

New Perth marina complex

Ocean Reef in the northern sector of Perth. It's taken more than 30 years, but a massive new marina development in the northern suburbs has been given the green light. The government claims strict conditions will quell fears of environmental damage. As I said before, Perth is really starting to get on the boil and there are several large projects taking place "undercover", but providing welcome economic stimulus and job prospects for Perth. You can read all about it here - https://www.oceanreefwa.com.au/the-marina.html

I am merging this thread with the already established Perth BUST rundown thread as it is essentially a duplicate.

Is there a list breakdown as well? Such as building by development status and height / floors etc?
