^The refurb to Cross+ looks excellent.
another old office bldg just started refurbishment is the 8storey/1938 Grand United Building on castlereagh st.

^nah, its just off the site. I forgot to mention its being gutted and 2 more floors added. the lime green tiles and ribbing are being kept.

The 27st law Courts bldg in Sydney iis about to undergo a 214mil refurb, said to be most expensive in Australian history. mostly internal changes.

Also a DA in for a $7.5m refurb of George Cinemas, nothing exciting i.e renders, but you can see plans on city of sydney site

external brickwork restoration has begun on the magnificent AWA building. the scaffold is half way up it.

There's a tower being that's been gutted, stripped of it's facade and is being remodelled in Alfred Street Milsons Point - anyone know what it is?

^yes thats the 15st BENQ tower (Eagle House).there even taking the top floor apart. not sure what there doing or what it will look like.

The 15storey former BENQ bldg in Milsons point, is now completely guttered with top floor reduced to a pad for the crane tower. Its going to be known as NORTH RESIDENCES.

I found this rendering in the Australand presentation slides for their half-yearly briefing which was held last Monday - looks like the refurb you've mentioned Cul? The picture was horribly stretched (obviously to fit into the space within the presentation), so I've had a go at putting it into correct proportions. The refurb to apartments looks pretty good I think.



The presentation also showed that Australand own the "Tower" office building further along Milson's Point (see pic below - actually one of the last office towers remaining in that strip), so I wouldn't be surprised if that was eventually refurbed to apartments as well.
