That's just dumb. I s'pose they're getting tired of trying to maintain signs that just keep saying "Citigrop" 1/2 the time.

Already problems with the Suncorp signage at night. At Darling Harbour last night, I noticed the S on the southern side was out and it read "UNCORP".

Blue Neon for Meriton Tower!

I just spotted that the swooping edge of the fin on the top of Meriton Tower has a blue strip neon!

A very distinctive and unique addition to the night skyline!

If Melbourne forumers think a couple of red lights on Eureka are worth posting hysterically about then surely a blue neon strip would deserve as much if not more fuss. Everyone be sure to let everyone else know where they saw it from and what it looked like. Remember to be as hysterical as possible, as if it were the greatest single thing to have happened to Sydney. Just like those red lights atop Eureka.

Ok, credit goes to Cul then. Muse and I do notice these things as we both live in the inner west and have similar views of the skyline.

A skyline is as much defined by it's form in the daytime and by the way it's lit at night.

Archibomber - I doubt we'd rave about a couple of red lights on Centerpoint, but this lighting is a significant bit of coloured lighting.

It will be very interesting what happens next Saturday for the 60 mins during Earth Hour...

I wasn't being serious, my sarcasm doesn't come across as well on the net. What I meant was the neon strip on Meriton's fin is far more interesting than a few lights on the top of Eureka yet you don't see anyone carrying on about it like in the Eureka Observation Deck/lights thread we're everyone reports where they saw it from and how it looked, yet there's barley a peep in this thread.

Oh your sarcasm was clear to see Arch, it was more for the rest of the Sydney posters to say, "if you see something significant - post it!"

All good!

That what this thread is all about eh? Considering it is quite a significant neon feature on the skyline, and as gaz makes mention of the job of a skyline is 24/7.

With our Eureka red-light posts, "exciteable" rather than "hysterical" would be more of an appropriate word. Understandaby, anything that happens to the Big E, esp. with its night appearance constantly being under the SSC micropscope, we are interested in its happenings.

Meanwhile at The Piccadilly Centre...

Stockland logos and signs have been placed all over 133–145 Castlereagh's podium, entrance and lobby and on the other side
@ 210 Pitt for the retail entrance etc.

The crown is already ablaze with the logo on 2 sides so far, east & north facing - as in these pics by WiNgNuT:

On a skyline above ground (as opposed to above sea level)? I would take a stab & say the AMP signage on Sydney Tower's turret.

Well 7 months after Ipggi mentioned it, Citigroup have lodged a DA to remove the "group" part of their name atop their building. At $195,000, I don't blame them for taking their time!

What I noticed earlier this evening...

1 set of lights being tested on lumiere's crown

Channel 7's 52 Martin Place ticker was down. Still in place so maybe repairing.

Huge new digital readout over Metro's George St entrance. Short yet big. Tells you of coming attractions.

You know what doesn't get lit up anymore Deutsche Bank's spires. And infact the signage is often not lit either, only the logo.
