Thanks for the wrap up. The quality of new developments in Melbourne continues to impress me particularly residential ddevelopments. I'm disappointed that some still stick to boxy scrapers.

I'm disappointed about 567 Collins being only 113m. That site could of held an easy 200 m + scraper.

I just hope Prima gets off the ground. It's Melbourne's equivalent of Sydney's John Boyd Tower, which has been in the works for years but still no construction though John Boyd will start mid year.

567 could only go max. 170m to roof, due to overshadowing of the Yarra, but 150m would of been nice. Oh well.

567 has been a hole in the ground for too long that now I don't really care how big it is, I just want to see something built there. I reckon that if they just went ahead and build it speculatively they'd stand a better chance of getting tennants in there sooner. Someone like Westpac who had a short timeframe might have committed if this building was already U/C.

Yep little ol Melbourne town is going through quite a sizeable boom atm.

Not all the projects are massive skyscrapers but the dollar amount of new construction would be in the many billions even without the CUB and Power Station projects.

This is much more elegant than the original design (p1), isn't it? I assume its about opposite Northbank, so that Flinders Street dead zone is really in for a classy glassy lift.

i don't know why, but I keep coming back to this thread.
Quite pleasurable to see how just how much is coming along.

I think everyone needs to calm down a little.

Not all these projects have legs. I would say about 1/3 if not 1/2 are not committed to by tenants, developers, owners etc.

this thread's like the good old days on H00gyb0w0w-OzScrapers where silvermb had a series of Melbourne project threads running over a couple of weeks, I used to be in awe of his information gathering skills, now he's just a chode...

j/k silvermb

nice work melbourne12, and yeah, A. Steve's advice is somewhat prudent.

Archi that's an impressive list!......Maybe been said before? but if Telstra goes with the Prima site.....would that mean an Office componant with apartments above?.....Just not sure how these two go together?.....Imagine if large scale Telstra with Prima scale apartments could end up with a 400m....!.....Just wishful thinking!!!!.....Imagine Telstra going with CUB or Powerstation site ?

I think the idea would be to ditch Prima altogether and just stick and office tower there.
