We don't get much coverage of suburban centres, so thanks to tiggyinmelbs for this recent shot of Sky One Box Hill, 35L/123m.

A full render of the new Hilton at Melbourne Square, in Southbank, has been posted, thanks to Archi/soorox. At a guess, it will fit into this thread.

And yet another great shot of Collins Arch, thanks to JCooza. The summit arch is not far away, whilst Aussiemex tells us that the W Hotel ( the lower section of the right hand tower) is promoting an opening date of March 20, 2020. The building on the right is the new Vibe Hotel, at 1 Queen Street.

The 148m Wesley Place is becoming visible from more angles. This is from Rathdowne Street, Carlton. The twin towers of Sapphire by the Gardens/Shangri La Hotel (222m/232m) are rising on the left, just to the right of Telstra's HQ.

More confirmation that the top end of the apartment market is impervious to the current vicissitudes is CBus' proposal for 17 Spring Street. skyhooks has posted an AFR report that sales have exceeded 50%, leading CBus to accelerate its plans. The current occupant, a Mercure Hotel, has been issued a notice to vacate, with demolition planned for later this year and a construction start in early 2020. The planned 33L/128m tower has unobstructed views over the Treasury Gardens and will only have 73 apartments. Its understated design, by Bates Smart, will complement an earlier CBus tower, at 35 Spring. Thanks to JCooza and tower dan for renders.

It definitely softens the blow of the old Shell house. Makes a nice corner to the CBD grid.

Archi has posted a render of the Melbourne Quarter Tower, a 34L office. The render makes it look much taller than it will be e.g. the KPMG tower is approx. 140m.

The KPMG Tower is actually 155.2 AHD at its highest point (152.5m above ground).

Update from CMET on sensational-adelaide.com on Adelaide's 132m Realm tower. Whilst not the quite the tallest under construction, its design is much more involved with materials of a considerably higher standard than the current tallest, Adelaidean, which will top out at 135m tall.

And what the final result will look like. I personally think this will be stunning.

One of Melbourne's tallest demo jobs has started, with a crane going up on Charter Hall's 555 Collins site this week.
