Wow this thread doesn't get posted in as much as other cities...

Not sure where this article belings.... It is from the Adelaide Women's and Children's hospital... If you went to pay for your parking would you just take it or leave it?

Good Samaritan leaves $10 in Adelaide Women's and Children's hospital car park:

WOW..the new world's largest battery will have full power for nearly an hour and a half...What if a hot summer has a few weeks of listless still days ? I know you have to do something so glad SA is doing the hard yards for the rest of us...I reckon build latest technology coal...wash my mouth out !

much later...I don't mean any disrespect for South Australia...or any inhabitant...but gee...how connect are you to the real world energy ? Your call...mostly with your wallet...and places like China and India...and haa, most of the world don't give a damn...

Not one post in this subforum at all for the whole month of June. Is Adelaide really so much of a backwater that nothing at all has happened this month? Don't tell me you've all been hanging out over at sensational-adelaide.com

Yes, Adelaide is a back water because people don't chose to post here...

No it's not a backwater it simply does not have the same populations as Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, so not as much happens. Perth seems to be picking up. Only thing I can't understand is why Qatar flies to Adelaide and not Brisbane, yes I know slot issues but it's a pet hate of mine. But my two visits to Adelaide I found it a nice city.

Only thing is I still don't understand when will be there a taller skyscraper than the old bank building, the proposed ones are still under the heights the Airport has set.

There is one apparently in the works, it was originally named Dominator and set to be over 200m. The form working on this project were looking to amend heights to get this through.

There has been little however news on this project in the last year. One suspects it is dead.

Ultimately a 200+ building with a modern glass finish would really transform our skyline. What's more, is that Adelaide is so flat, anything over 180 would be very striking.

Adelaide does well for a city of its size. We have amazing food and wine, and a bar scene that is quite vibrant... mostly though through the warmer months and weekends. This time of year the city does feel quite sleepy. But ultimately you need more population to change that.

Think itís starting to change with the appartment boom, I work in the city and later at night more places seem open / busy in recent times, that should only increase with a few big onceís nearly completion imo
