I'm feeling pretty confident that these stones are salvaged from the old viaduct wall that was demolished two years ago... thoughts?

I wasn't around back then but it is very hard to imagine that there was a viaduct at that location in the past.

There were routine occurrences where trucks would get stuck underneath it. I think it was the late 80's when they finally took the span out.

I believe so. The guy from Moxy described them as "nice rocks" and a board member sternly said they were from an old bridge abutment, or something of that nature.

Yes, the viaduct was removed and the grade of this part of Washington was raised something like 10-12' at some point in the 80s. The viaduct wall (abutment is the correct term, thanks Mesabiapolis) on the south side (this site) remained as a retaining wall until this project started construction.
