Also what happened the Perkins & Will?

Here's a crappy model I made in like 20 minutes. Have fun. Not responsible if it crashes your computers or something.
Magellan from Chicago was going to be the partner. Magellan has all of there buildings designed by bKL or Loewenberg. From what I heard Magellan tried really hard to have a deal in place, Franklin street wouldn't budge.

No doubt it would have stirred up the pot and been controversial. Would have brought in whole new style and concept in high rise architecture that's missing here. Interesting to see how it would have impacted the skyline.

I would have loved to have seen that here. This is what makes a city like Chicago so special is that there are so many unique towers that don't all lend compliment to the one next to it. To now see what could have been is a real kick to the privates in my book. But, as I've mentioned, Franklin Street is a tiny public REIT that just couldn't handle this, especially with their financials as of late.

I will say, I wish FSP would sell their ownership of this site to someone who could make good use of it.

Man I didn't want to say it but from what I was told it never had a spire, and it never was more than 60 floors. Unless there was a design by P+W I didn't know about. It never was above 900 feet either, just saying. :/

It looks similar in height to 33 South Sixth Street which is 668 feet.

I count 50 stories. Probably somewhere between each of our estimates...

What's it for? Northwestern Mutuals new tower is 32 stories and 550' if it's office space then it would seemingly go above that.. Mixed use towers are a bit more complicated however.

It's for us to gawk at and dream about (or be thankful it never happened). This was pulled by Franklin and will not be built. They had a couple of potential tenants that wound up going with other proposals.

Honestly, it's kind of an ugly building. Sure it would have been different but there are other ways to make a tower stand out than stacking a few completely unrelated boxes on top of each other. I wish a tower would have happened for you guys, just not this one.

I'm sure we'll have proposals for at least a couple more skyscrapers in the next few years. Meanwhile we continue to see a tremendous amount of growth in this very dynamic city.

Hopefully, Minneapolis is an awesome city, I was just up there for a wedding last weekend. I wish I could have stayed longer but it just didn't happen. I got to see a lot of projects that I've only seen photos of up until this point. Everything seems very new, reminded me of Denver sort of. Hopefully Milwaukee can step up to the plate. I think Minneapolis and Milwaukee are two of the most exciting Midwestern cities right now. While this project may not have panned out, it's only a matter of time until another one does!

And you'd be wrong, seeing as it's taller the whole of the Foshay, or at least appears to be, and the total height of the the Foshay, including the antenna, is 607 feet.

I was thinking of the height figure without the antennae.

Just got back from vacation, and holy shit! We really did dodge a bullet. That boxzilla would have completely dominated the Foshay.
