Good idea Sefton. That said, people coming to the forum might not know which sites are actually U/C or just proposals. Still, it's a possibility. Let's see what other forumers think.

Is it worth putting all Coventry developments, both proposals and U/C, in a Coventry Developments Forum or would it be better to keep the two separate?

Shouldn't the 'general thread' (i.e. this one) be up a level and the construction forum be the one for individual projects?

Yes, fair enough, but where do you want that general thread. Do you still want it with the Birmingham and Black Country threads?

Yeah, I think that is what is being said. The general thread might be better where it was, and keep the new forum for construction projects.

I think that's the best way forward. Let's see what others think.

Yes, the Cov development thread should be with the Birmingham and Wolverhampton ones.

Thanks for doing this!

Did anyone else go and look at the Knife Angel by the Cathedral?

Knife Angel by Bodgecity, on Flickr

Excellent piece of work, but the presentation is dreadful thanks to the massive fences around it.

Well worth seeing. I went early on Saturday morning and it was good to see a lot of people showing an interest. As a side effect, the cathedral quarter was busier than usual at that time, which goes to highlight how this is an area of the city that's underutilised.

The obtrusive metal barrier was only a temporary measure, it seems

My wife drove from London road to Ikea the other day using the ring road, and got into a panic because she didn't know where she was! She hadn't been on that route for a few years and all the new buildings made it confusing. Bless her! I had to laugh, but she does have a point. The ring road here is starting to feel a bit like a canyon of buildings.
