A 40 m Ferris wheel is a joke for a capital city.

London eye, Singapore and Dubai ferris wheels are 150m to 200m high

It does indeed show a complete lack of ambition or sense of reality, I concur.

Totally agree ,With the shifting of Government offices to Battaramulla ,There is a heck of traffic due to narrow roads .Before building ferree wheels They should consider speeding up the construction of LRT and Multi model Transportation Hub at Battaramulla and Have a proper plan to wide existing roads .Manage Traffic .Sending Utilities underground .Develop more Public facilities to people who come for services there .The only exit from Battaramulla is Polduwa bridge .They should build atleast 2,3 bridges connecting CMB to Battaramulla .The last thing public needs is ferry wheel here

Senior Geologist of the NBRO, Sarath Premasiri says that during the morning hours today (January 17) the density stood at 100 – 150. He further says that this situation could continue until the first week of the next month.
