They've rejigged the barriers again and we now have a planter - I'm guessing they're trying to create as much space as they can for the people who'll inundate the area for the Christmas Market in a week's time.

Chamberlain Square has partially reopened so you no longer have to walk around the Council House to reach Centenary Square, behind the hoardings the square looks a very busy site but will it be finished in time for the Christmas Markets?

No doubt it will have a clean and seal once it’s all laid.

I thought the whole of Chamberlain Square was to be reopened? Excuse my ignorance, but what’s been changed over the past 3 months of this route being closed? I thought the paving was already laid outside of the museum.

They ripped up the 'new' paving and replaced it. Apparently the previous 'new' paving wasn't up to scratch.

What they've put down now appears to match what they're putting down in Victoria Sq and presumably what's going down New St too so it should be nice and consistent - unusual for Birmingham...

A shame it's that view is going to be filled with a huge tall blank wall.

Totally agree Bloxwich. For anyone who says new builds don't come up to scratch (especially about Birmingham), point them in this direction.

I hope the rest of the Paradise development is of the same standard. What an addition to the city that would be.

I'm going to put it out there. Centenary Square gets a lot of attention but I think Chamberlain Square will become one of the finest public squares in the UK.

It's small, understated, a good mix of architecture, a little bit of greenery.

That view when coming out of Paradise Forum used to take my breath away every time and I suspect it did to visitors coming from Brindleyplace who have never visited before. CS is truly beautiful.
