Which are not the foundations for Two Chamberlain Square then? Who's constructing the basement?

Carillion. Separate contracts. Phase 1 structure provides a podium for 2CS to be built from - in theory 2CS could never happen and you'd still have basement structure.

It looks like a crane is being erected today for the No 2 Chamberlin Square, according to the webcam...

Brum is turning into one big office. Would have liked to see some arts or cultural aspect incorporated into this rather than offices and national chain bars/retail which it will undoubtedly be with the rents.

It is called trying to be helpful.

I am sorry if my 1 line append upset you so much.

I have recently had a 3 month break from Skyscraper City (for various medical reasons which I wont bore you with) and have posted no photos in that time.

The photos I posted on Sunday were my first for 3 months.

Sadly due to your aggressive and nasty update I have decided to take another break so you wont be seeing any more of my photos for a while.

I hope you are glad you have driven a person off this web site !

Goodbye
?

What's going on. I always find your posts interesting, and all the others who take the time to get out documenting this stuff, it's invaluable. While I rarely show appreciation, I am grateful and I am sure many hundreds if not thousands of others are also.

El is the most prolific poster here and his camerawork has really improved, which is nice to see, but so has everyone else's, Reiss as well, it's all great, don't stop, you never know, in 100o years time when Earth is ruled by giant cyber ants photos like this will be invaluable to their offspring to help them learn about human architecture and how futile our efforts were to build grey and beige panel ant hills and just how easily they were to destroy during the invasion of 2099.

Yes, Guilbert, I also appreciate your contributions. It's a pity some people don't think before they hit post.

Faintly antagonistic on my part, but still maintaining a blatant fact. People interested in a specific subject matter will click on that said subject in the main area of the forum – in this particular case, the U/C thread. Each thread is highlighted. People can also receive subscription emails from that particular thread. Don’t take people for plebs. This isn't your Yelp Birmingham/ Shirley Parkgate page you run. We're here on this niche site for a reason and we know what we’re searching for.

Whilst your reply is comically over the top, I really hope to see you back soon as your breaking down knowledge of the Paradise phases, buildings to go in those phases, road closures in those phases, temp public realms et all, have genuinely been second to none and have unquestionably been the most intellectually refreshing aspects on the thread(s). While trying not to stroke your ego, your contributions here are unsurpassed (with the exception of MG). It has taken major patience for you to conjure up what you've given us & for that, we thank you. So we’re all appreciative of this. Don’t forget that in a hurry.

Ta-ra a'bit

I don't think we need arts or culture in this development as it has BMAG on one side, Town Hall on another and LoB and Symphony Hall on the other but I agree about the chains it would be good to see units set aside for independent leisure and also small units for sandwich bar, newsagents etc
