Langur, don't forget that the French High Speed Train took approximatively 15M pax out of the Paris Airport/Year. In England they have poor train and unsafe railway system. So in this case Mr Langur England is far away from the France. So not everything is bad in Fance.
So without the TGV CDG should be very close to LHR.

lhr will not gain massively more passengers because of a new terminal. what lhr needs is a new runway ... that will create new capacities.

Quite right. And the third runway at Heathrow looks extremely uncertain due to massive opposition from local councils and residents.

Without a third runway, not only should Paris CDG overtake London Heathrow within 2 to 3 years, but Madrid Barajas should also overtake Heathrow in the early 2010s if its curent growth continues.

Of course, all the airports of South-Eastern England combined will still have more passengers than all the airports of Île-de-France combined and all the aiports of Castille combined, but what people generally remember are single airport rankings and not the sum of airports across regions. So in a PR sense ("hub of Europe" and all that propaganda), the fact that Heathrow is overtaken by CDG and possibly also Barajas will have consequences.

brisavoine is a well known for nationalism in threads that should be neutral to it.

These comments were made in the Spanish forum, as such, they were appropriate in their celebration of the success of the Spanish aviation industry.

Talking about the aviation industry of your country in a positive light is appropriate of the local forums.

Dragging every thread in the INTERNATIONAL section back towards glorifying the French nation is rather different.
