Hmm for some reason this project just doesn't scream "Vegas" to me. Maybe it's not kitschy enough? Looks like the city is moving away from its themed days...

Maybe yes, maybe no. We haven't seen the finished product yet...and I'm sure there will be a las Vegas light show of some kind @ night and neonwork adorning the joint.

If it end up being not as "kitschy enough", maybe that's a good thing too. Everywhere trying to outdo each other with "wow and pazazz". If it was more subdued, that may become the start of some balancing out.

Well, nobody lives at the old resorts, but CityCenter will have thousands of residents, so it's a whole new paradigm.

The old vegas(Rat pack days)are starting to revive themselves with the areas around downtown.Family vegas is dying and the new vegas involves projects like these.

These cranes were added in the past couple weeks for the Mandarin Oriental and the two Veer towers, still have to finish erecting that one.
