Following the opening of the new angelo hotel in Katowice for the first hotel guests in early March, real estate developers Warimpex and UBM and hotel management firm Vienna International have officially celebrated its opening in Katowice yesterday. The hotel offers a total of 203 rooms and eight conference rooms and is specially tailored to the needs of the many business travellers in the region.

“After having proven the special concept of the angelo brand in Prague, Bucharest, Munich, Plzeň and Ekaterinburg, I am convinced that this success story will continue with the 4-star design hotel in Katowice,” – said Warimpex’s CEO Franz Jurkowitsch.

The 4-star angelo Hotel is located in the middle of the city’s commercial district. The 203-room business hotel features an executive floor as well as 17 apartments with a separate cooking area perfect for longer stays. A special feature is the 980 sq. m. conference area consisting of eight light-flooded meeting rooms and a conference room for up to 300 people, making this the largest conference center in all of Katowice. Guests looking for sport and exercise to balance out a strenuous day will enjoy the hotel’s fitness area with state-of-the-art cardio devices – the perfect place to regenerate, followed by a relaxing sauna visit.

Thanks to its location and special service, the new hotel promises to be especially attractive for business travellers while also an excellent choice for city and culture tourists.

“The construction of this 4-star hotel will allow us to offer our guests and business travellers a product that has already proven its worth in several countries. With the economic boom in the Silesian city of Katowice in Poland and the resulting promise of continuously strong bed occupancy rates, we are confident that our newest venture will be very successful,” said Rudolf Tucek, CEO of Vienna International Hotelmanagement AG, expressing his positive outlook for the future.

Warimpex representatives reckon the Katowice market as a very perspective for the company. “The new angelo hotel Katowice is a typical anticyclical investment. We started construction during the real estate crisis and are now opening the hotel just in time for the economic recovery, a feat that required perfect timing. We feel confident that Katowice will be a booming area in the coming years,” said the CEO of UBM, Karl Bier. With a population of 300 000, the City of Katowice is one of the most important centers of business in Poland. Especially over the past few years, Katowice has presented itself as a city that is open to change and has plenty to offer in terms of culture. The geographical and cultural diversity of the region surrounding Katowice makes the city very attractive for visitors from all over the world. The hotel market in Katowice is currently one of the most rapidly developing markets in Poland. The city lies at an important crossroads in Europe and, as the center of the Upper Silesian industrial region, is a powerful driver of the economy. Upper Silesia is the most industrialized region in Poland and represents a very unique economic opportunity for foreign investors. It is also the most populated region in Poland, with 4.7 million residents.

To confirm the interest in Katowice, Christian Fojtl, Board Member of Warimpex, announced during a yesterday’s conference an expansion of the company’s investments in the City. A new hotel of Warimpex would be raised opposite the Silesia City Center shopping mall where the developer has bought a plot. However, a date of construction works’ launch will hinge upon, among others, a success and prosperity of the angelo Katowice.

A conference considering an investment potential of the City “It is worth to invest in Katowice” has taken place today in the angelo Hotel Katowice. Among many business representatives and local authorities, the press conference was attended by Jerzy Krogulec, the Chief Executive Officer of Warimpex Polska. This is what he said about the company’s plans and its future in the City.

“Warimpex has already finished one hotel investment in Katowice which is the four-star angelo brand. But we believe in the City’s potential and the company plans further expansion in Katowice. Warimpex has bought a construction plot opposite the Silesia City Center shopping mall. This is our half-and-half joint venture with Louvre Hotels and we want to build together a hotel for about 500 places. We hope to start the investment next year but everything depends on the market” – Jerzy Krogulec said during the conference.

“We are also considering a renovation of an office property but we will be able to disclose more details in a few months. What I can say now, the facility is located about 200-300 meters from the angelo Hotel Katowice” – he finished.

Jagiełło Krysiak Architekci shared with us the “Hilton Garden Inn” project, located in downtown of Katowice, the main city of Upper Silesian Industrial District in southern Poland. The plot has an excellent connection with the DTŚ-main road and Grundmann St. that provides down to the A4-Motorway, also it’s only 700 meters far from the City Centre.
Dalej w linku.

Mazy mi sie aby kiedys Zaleze stalo sie dzielnica zamieszkala glownie przez mlodych ludzi z duza iloscia knajpek, klubow i roznego rodzaju eventow.

Louvre Hotels and Warimpex plans to develop a new hotel in Katowice within the framework of their joint venture, Louvre Warimpex Development. Several months ago the companies bought a plot near Silesia City Center where the project will be raised. The partners want to expand two hotel brands there.

“The building near Silesia City Center will comprise the Campanile and Premičre Classe brands. The hotel will feature approximately 200 rooms on 6-7 levels. It will cover about 8 000 sq. meters of usable area. We also plan a conference area in the building” – says Jacek Kociałkowski, Member of the Board at Louvre Warimpex Development.

The developer does not disclose a construction works’ start. “The investment process is progressing” – Jacek Kociałkowski added.

Both Louvre Hotels and Warimpex have a 50 percent share in the joint venture. Warimpex acts as a developer and Louvre Hotels as the hotel operator.

Warimpex, together with UBM, already invested in Katowice – the companies developed a 203-room business hotel, the angelo Katowice at 24 Sokolska St. The opening took place in March this year.

One of the brands which Louvre and Warimpex want to expand is already present in Katowice. The hotel of Campanile is localized at 48 Sowińskiego St. It features 76 rooms.
