PYONGYANG - Kim Il Sung Stadium (50,000)

The Kim Il Sung stadium in Pyongyang is the second largest stadium in North Korea. This is where the North Korean national team play most of their matches. The stadium was built in 1969 and then renovated in 1982. Until the larger Rungrado May day stadium was built in 1989 all Arirang mass games was held in this stadium.

There is no way that this is 100,000 seats smaller than the May Day stadium.

Nice looking, but the seats are way too far from the action.

It does certainly look like mayday is twice as big, but then you need to consider the added circumference of each row, so if this stadium holds 50 000, it looks perfectly reasonable for mayday to hold 120 000 IMO..
