We have to judge it by Danish (Copenhagenish) standards, and by those it is a nice highrise. It is nothing spectacular, but it is not butt ugly like most of the few highrises we have. And I believe it would do well if surrounded by other highrises of varied design and height.

Edit: And since the page have turned, I should inform, that I am referring to the Årstiderne Highrise from the previous page

A view of the Øresund Tower yesterday.
Looking over the lagoon from the strandpark you can´t help thinking "the more highrises the merrier" in the area around Øresund metro station.

Meanwhile they're still partying in Aarhus, we have to enjoy our small progresses (and constructions).. - but we'll be back later on...

Nice to see the tower raising.

The enlightening of the east.

From the KPC web a bad quality render, however it gives you an idea about the approching new skyline at East amager.
One thing you can say about the Amager people; they're not afraid of high rises out there (maybe because it's so flat )

The high rise from Lærenes Pension.

Yeah, Amager is the Manhattan of Copenhagen Just imagine how cool the skyline could've been, if it wasn't for that damn height restriction...

Great! Another concrete and tile design. How interesting. East Amager could become the Copa Cabana of Copenhagen with it's wide beach flanked by tall buildings. Instead it's gonna look like one of those planned Chinese cities being built by the hundreds every year.

To me this building it looks like a German highway motel.

What about the demohlished gas tower, must be possible to put up a high tower there, it's 5 km from the airport.

I didn't even know that the gas tower had been demolished – it's ages since I've been in the neighborhood. But yeah, I wouldn't mind a high-rise popping up there too.

Oh yes it's gone, and down the memory road a picture that shows the size of it.

The site at Krimsvej ready for a construction starting this summer. It's here the 21 floor building will be constructed.

Amager Strandvej, soon ready for the row houses construction.

Does exist a map of all the new highrise projects in the area, or could someone with a little more overview perhaps stick one together? I'm having a hard time putting a "location" all these exiting projects, since its a rather unknown area to me.

I understand your confusion, and it seems weird that we haven't seen a clear masterplan for the area. Maybe due the risk of refusal and protests from the public. After all it's a lot with massive construction and a significant changing.

Here're a few informations, you maybe saw on page 4.

*Twister Tower, 15 storeys, Danica & Arktektgruppen, Amager Strandvej,
*Øresund Tower 13 storeys, ongoing Danica & Arkitektgruppen, completed 2013 u/c
*The highrise at Krimsvej, 21 storeys, Danica & Arkitektgruppen, Amager strandpark,
*Highrise at Krimsvej KPC and Arkitema 12 storeys,
*Highrise at Krimsvej KPC and Arkitema 15 storeys,
*Strandlodsvej, complex of housings at least 3 X 10 storeys buildings, u/c Sophienberg Ejendomsudvikling & Holscher architects/Domus architects.

If you continue your information search and find something, please post it here.

Here is a scan of one of the pages from the lokalplan which shows the height of the future (and under construction) buildings.
Great
