OK, I'm having a moment of confusion after just driving downtown and seeing the building but maybe that's because I'm old! Anyway, all of the renders I've seen show two floors near the top that jut out to one side of the building. Then above that it appears as though there's a couple more floors that are the same size as the ones below the two that jut out. The problem with that is that the building which everyone seems to be saying is already topped out does have those floors that jut out on one side but is missing those top two floors that should go above that. So did something happen to the design that I just missed or is there going to be two more floors going above what's there now? It doesn't look like there's any preparation for anything going higher and I looked at it from several vantage points to see if I was missing something about the design and it simply looks like they're leaving off a couple floors of at least glass that should have been at the top of the building to match the renders. So can anyone help out this 68 year old senior citizen? Thanks!

I noticed same thing, but it is topped out so it must be a slight design change because it's done rising. I also thought that was going to be a glass bottom floor that sticks out, but it looks concrete to me.

They have not added the mechanical covering/"crown" yet which should add a couple of more floors of height and feature the signage. I'm anxious to see this tower's lighting as well.

ariesjow, Well that was really what my question was about and according to what jarno6006 just said and others who have stated that it's already topped out leads me to believe that the top two floors that I was wondering about simply are not going to be built and that the original plans may have been altered. I just drove by that building from every direction and there's no indication that any work is being done that would raise the height by a couple of floors which is why I brought up the question in the first place. If that's the case it's a disappointment because that seems to bring the whole design together and as you mentioned that's where the signage would be located as well but I can't imagine why they would have a topping out ceremony which was supposed to have happened on Oct. 11th if they were still going to add a couple more mechanical floors covered with glass on top of what's already there. If anyone has any definitive information on this situation we'd be interested in hearing about it. Thanks to all!

The building is topped out because the top floor is underway. That doesn't mean the mechanical covering will not be added. Despite its appearance, the covering will not be actual floors.

If you look closely at the renderings I posted above and below, you'll note that what appears to be the top three floors above the balcony where the "JW Marriott" sign will be is hollow. It's decorative glass and mechanical covering much like the top of Pinnacle. That's one of the reasons I hope we'll get some great lighting with this tower.

Thanks for your post Ariesjow! What you're saying makes sense and I had never thought of the possibility that the top of the building might be hollow. That would explain all of my questions. I appreciate your information!
