Saw workers on site. Maybe Construction may have stalled earlier but right now its on going. The building is around the same level it was at a month ago

Got new information that the building has been upscaled to 30 floors. But there's also conflicting info that its been downgraded to 23 floors.

New 30 Floor renders

Quote:
Upper Hill Chambers is a 30 Story Commercial Tower located in Upper Hill.
23 floor renders

Quote:
The proposed development, which sits on 0.9323-acres, will comprise an Iconic 23 X Storey Commercial Building

So true i was shocked they would scrap the lovely originals as it would have complimented Prism tower.

And the little slice of Ngong Ave. is a battle of the best architectural designs and they pull some lame ish like this is shameful on both the building owners and architects.

Kenyans are too conservative when it comes to architecture. Maybe the renders that made us go "Hurray" was shelved as being impractical or too daring. Architecture should not just be viewed as coming up with a sound engineering design, but it should also make a statement as a work of art that defines the cityscape. Something that when everyones looking at it should not just another building but something to leave a mark in someones mind and make people wonder about it. KICC has such in effect even though it was build in 70's. Back then guys where daring and wanted to make statement about Africa.

The 26 floor with the daring design is much better that the 30 floor bland one.

This is rising pretty fast and I'm sure it will be topping out by mid next year. Crossing my fingers that they stuck to the original renders.

Wu Yi seems to be a household name now. Practically any chinese construction firm is labeled Wu yi by most people. Love their speed.

I have no idea how the design looks like, they haven't displayed on the site the renders of this tower but most probably it might be 23 floors even when someone counts the floors for the 30 FL renders posted by Adama I end up counting 23 floors

Yes, I did not count the exact number of floors but it's somewhere there. Here is a photo from this morning
