Meaning when measured from the ground, the tallest possible height will be 393m.
The 680m plot will also be limited, so looking like another 394m building

Could have been more ambitious.

tallest building height using some pixel math using 350m foster and partner's china merchants bank tower:

350m/230px x 326px = 496m

as this is pretty inaccurate, i would say ~500m for the main tower. very likely to not get over 400m though as stated many times in the thread

The absolute non-negotiable height limit for this entire area imposed by Civil Aviation is 400m from sea level.

Unless the developer wants to have the building's main entrance sit in a sunken plaza, then the tallest possible height from ground level would be 392.5m.

yes, i think the 500m building in the design is a marketing ploy and nothing else. Final heights and designs will be limited.

Still I honestly prefer a skyline ocean of countless 200-350m rather than a few clusters of ultratalls. But it's very annoying to see them cheating and lying all the time.

Shenwan: The only cluster of 300m+ buildings in the city, and unfortunately anything more than 300m will have to be less than 400m

Futian CBD: With a sea of 200m+ buildings, however the very wide roads and lack of density does not affect only its skyline, but have prevented the formation of an active and lively commercial atmosphere full of pedestrians that normally exist in city centres.

Qianhai: the only 200m+ cluster in the city with both scale & density. However at the moment here is nothing in Qianhai exceeding 300m, I don't know if there can be in the future.

There still isn't a place that ticks all the boxes. Where is the city's signature skyline?

Caiwuwei has a lot of potential with Laojie Foodstreet closeby. Shenzhen is just really really long, but from everywhere you can see supertalls. This is a really nice thing of Shenzhen though, it doesn't feel as crowded as Guangzhou or Hong Kong city center, when all people are entering and exiting the same Metro stations.
