KUALA LUMPUR: Shares of Econpile Holding Bhd rose at mid-morning on Thursday after its unit won a RM128.9mil development job on Jalan Conlay, Kuala Lumpur.

At 11.32am, its shares rose 9.5 sen to 98.5 sen with 362,520 shares done between 93 sen and 98.5 sen.

The FBM KLCI rose 11.98 points to 1,782.07. Turnover was 1.33 billion shares valued at RM1.036bil. There were 528 gainers, 211 decliners and 276 counters unchanged.

Its unit Econpile Sdn Bhd received the letter of award from Damai City Sdn Bhd on Jan 21, 2015 to undertake foundation and substructure works for a mixed development project comprising a hotel, serviced residences and a retail podium at Lot 20000, Seksyen 63 on Jalan Conlay.

The names of the towers have yet to be determined, so they are tentatively called Towers A, B and C. Tower C will stand alone while Towers A and B will be joined. The 62-storey Tower C will house a 260-room hotel and 403 serviced residences while Tower A (60 storeys) and Tower B (55 storeys) will offer a total of 1,092 serviced residences and will be linked at the 25th and 44th levels.

While the built-up of the units in Towers A and B will range from 682 to 1,295 sq ft, that of Tower C’s hotel rooms and serviced residences has yet to be determined as they are still in the design stage. The estimated selling price of the serviced residences is between RM2,000 and RM3,000 psf.

Come May, KSK Land will officially launch the project, releasing 300 units of Tower A for sale. More details are forthcoming.
